Boulo is recruiting for an experienced Audit Manager for our client, a full-service CPA firm with offices throughout Florida. The firm has a history of providing excellent service in a number of areas and has an outstanding reputation for its expertise.
Employment type: Full-time
Flexibility: Hybrid (can be in the Orlando, Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale area)
Pay: Negotiable based on experience
Responsibilities of the Audit Manager position:
The Audit Manager is a leadership position for employees with advanced educational preparation and/or experience in accounting, financial statement preparation, and auditing. The Audit Manager candidate has demonstrated supervisor level and now assumes responsibilities for engagements while continuing to increase and strengthen client relationships. This position manages a portfolio of engagements in the examination and analysis of accounting systems to determine the financial status of clients and prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures. This position does require travel.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and mentoring quality staff.
- Ensuring engagements are properly planned and executed.
- Overseeing the preparation of reports and financial conditions found.
- Working directly with clients to meet their business and accounting needs.
- Obtaining sufficient relevant data for reasonable conclusions in relation to all services provided
Requirements for the Audit Manager position:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a regionally accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Practice area experience preferred:
- Governmental (State University & Colleges, School Districts, Counties, Healthcare Districts, Housing Finance Authorities, Municipalities, State Agencies, Transportation Authorities, and Utility Authorities
- Healthcare (Long-term care, Senior housing, Hospitals & health systems, Physician practices, and Community-based healthcare
- High Tech
- Manufacturing
- Professional services, and/or
- Tourism and Hospitality
- Active state Certified Public Accountant license or Firm recognized equivalent (e.g. Chartered Professional Accountant) required.
