Boulo Solutions is recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant for our client, an innovative technology company in the renewable energy space in Fort Collins, Colorado. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the company's Sr. Staff Accountant until proficient enough to operate independently.

Employment type: Full-time (will also consider part-time)

Flexibility: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote) in Fort Collins, CO

Pay: $50,000 – $70,000 per year plus benefits

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

  • General Accounting and Payroll
  • Manage QuickBooks; reconcile and close books monthly
  • Generate financials monthly, quarterly, yearly
  • Manage annual budget and update monthly
  • Follow proper accounting practices
  • Support Tax related activities and ensure tax laws are followed (with CPA guidance)
  • Manage ADP Timekeeping and Payroll processing
  • Coordinate activities with Staff Accountant and CPA firm
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain accurate vendor accounts
  • Reconcile bills ensuring appropriate pricing and discounts are applied
  • Pay bills according to their payment terms  
  • Maintain copies of customer contracts and purchase orders
  • Generate invoices in accordance with contracts and POs and in coordination with Solution Delivery Manager
  • Process customer account payments
  • Ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate
  • Communicate with customer when issues arise with payments or accounts are past due
  • Assisting with budgeting, pro-forma projections and support for financing activities 
  • Assist with product pricing, contracting, and managing all- contract-related documents
  • Support the CEO for whatever business-related activities arise
  • General Office Responsibilities, including:
    • Answering phones in a professional manner
    • Screening and directing calls appropriately
    • Maintaining documents filing system (electronic and paper)
    • Managing price lists and marketing collateral
    • Supporting customer visits and organize office events
    • Supporting tradeshow attendance
    • Making travel arrangements

Requirements for the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time
  • Willing to learn new skills and take on new tasks and responsibilities
  • Team Player
  • 1+ years of Bookkeeping experience
  • Some experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc. a plus •
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, consistent, dependable
  • Obsessive focus on timelines, deliverables, and client satisfaction
  • Enthusiastic about learning new skills and software systems
  • Comfortable with hybrid work style (3/2 Office/Home)
