Boulo Solutions is sourcing Bookkeeper/Billing Associates for an Atlanta, GA based law firm.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper
• General Accounting and Payroll
• Manage QuickBooks; reconcile and close books monthly
• Generate financials monthly, quarterly, yearly
• Follow proper accounting practices
• Support Tax related activities and ensure tax laws are followed (with CPA guidance)
• Assist with Payroll processing through Altera, ensuring proper deductions
• Manage online 401k deposit in association with payroll reports
• Coordinate activities with Executive Director and CPA firm, as necessary
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Maintain accurate vendor accounts and communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, credits, renewals
• Reconcile bills ensuring appropriate pricing and discounts are applied
• Pay bills according to their payment terms
• Maintain copies of customer contracts and invoices in the manner established by GF
• Maintaining documents filing system (electronic and paper
• Process customer account payments in QB
• Provide client reports as requested by attorneys, partners, executive director
• Assist the Executive Director with other tasks as requested Responsibilities of the Billing Assistant
• Maintain billing records for attorneys/timekeepers
• Process customer account payments in billing software (Timeslips)
• Assist with entering timekeeper (attorneys) time and clients expenses into Timelips
• Make edits to prebills and generate invoices in final form to mail/email to clients • Submit bills electronically through various e-billing websites per client billing guidelines
• Maintain specific client billing requirements and ensure that requirements are met
• Ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate
• Communicate with customer when issues arise with payments or accounts are past due
Requirements for the Bookkeeper/Billing Assistant
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous work experience in a law firm with strong knowledge and experience working with trust and IOLTA accounts
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time
• Willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities
• 3+ years of Bookkeeping experience
• Experience with Timeslips a plus
• Experience with Mac computers a plus
• Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, consistent, dependable
• Enthusiastic about learning new skills and software systems
• Ability to come into the office to meet with Executive Director at least 1-2x per month
This position is salaried at $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience. The ideal hybrid schedule can be negotiated for the right candidate. This position comes with a benefit package which includes: health insurance (paid at 100% for employee), employee parking, dental insurance, Aflac, LTD and PTO.
