Boulo Solutions is recruiting for a Director of Sales & Business Development for our client, a high-growth electrical safety and managed services company with businesses in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company provides market-leading solutions within Critical Environments of Facility Maintenance, HVAC, UPS, Generator Maintenance and an emphasis on Electrical Safety, Arc Flash, and Training.

Employment type: Full-time

Flexibility: 100% remote

Pay: $125,000 – $150,000 base salary plus generous commission structure

The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned leader in sales and business development that has the ability to foster long-term sales success, and the ability to build authentic relationships. This position has the potential to build real financial wealth for financial freedom with the right mindset.  

The Director of Sales & Business Development is accountable for growing service/maintenance contracts by developing and maintaining authentic relationships with decision-makers while working to identify, qualify and close new business in the mission-critical industry. The position is responsible for growing the business in the US and Canada and reports directly to the CEO. 

Responsibilities of the Sales & Business Development position

  • Build the Sales Team in collaboration with the CEO and continuously craft hiring plans
  • Enhance, motivate, and develop the sales team in a management/ leadership capacity and be involved in “must-win” deals personally
  • Develop plans and strategies in collaboration with the CEO
  • Leverage the company's market-leading reputation to build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients
  • Follow up on existing potentials and accounts and prepare for close
  • Manage and train a team to present, promote and sell products/services while understanding objections of the prospective businesses
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, events, networking and social media
  • Motivate the sales team to achieve workplace goals
  • Monitor market and competitor activity
  • Improve customer satisfaction by anticipating consumer needs
  • Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans
  • Work closely with the marketing department
  • Monitor customer activity
  • Create sales reports out of ZOHO CRM
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
  • Collaborate with the operations team to achieve better results inside existing contracts.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with customers and partners
  • Supply management with reports on business needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Always maintain a professional company image
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance
  • Recommend improvements for the sales team to boost performance

Requirements for the Director of Sales & Business Development position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field is preferred
  • 8+ years of previous experience working with Critical Environments, Managed Services, preferably in a Director of Sales or VP of Sales role.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize leads to close.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiastic and determined
  • Strategic mindset with ability to get results
