Boulo is recruiting for a highly analytical individual with a drive for continuous improvement and creative problem solving to join our client, who has a growing network of animal hospitals throughout the country and is based in Birmingham, AL.

The Finance Analyst aligns financial, medical and operational strategies with organizational goals centered around their veterinarians. This individual needs an entrepreneurial spirit, an eagerness to design and lead cross-departmental initiatives, and the professionalism and confidence to present findings to company leaders. The primary responsibilities of this new role are to design and enhance data-driven decision making for the medical teams as it relates to the veterinarians.
FInancial Analyst Responsibilities
- Calculate doctor production compensation, review results, identify outliers and communicate findings
- Perform monthly budget-variance analysis for doctor productivity and compensation
- Ensure the accuracy of doctor information and databases to ensure accurate reporting
- Create a rolling doctor forecast leveraging multiple data sources and communicate results
- Design and build doctor models for medical leaders to use in hiring and renewal decisions
- Develop workflows and automated processes to streamline processes that are currently manual
- Assist finance, operations and medical teams with the annual budgeting process
- Make recommendations on multi-year compensation structures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, human resources or a related field
- 3+ years of similar work experience, preferably in healthcare, retail or other multi-location industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on manipulating large data sets in Excel
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, question the results, generate insights and construct solutions
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Outstanding reporting and communication skills
- Aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment
