Boulo Solutions is sourcing a Legal Bookkeeper for our client, a premier litigation firm based in Atlanta, GA that specializes in all aspects of fiduciary disputes, representing individuals, executors, trustees, investors, shareholders, and financial institutions in complex fiduciary disputes involving wills, estates, trusts, guardianships, businesses, and securities. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of IOLTA and general Accounting principles.

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000

Requirements for the Legal Bookkeeper:
- Previous work experience in a law firm with strong knowledge and experience working with trust and IOLTA accounts
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 3+ years of Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Timeslips and Mac computers a plus
- Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, consistent, dependable
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and software systems
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time
- Willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Legal Bookkeeper:
- General Accounting and Payroll
- Manage QuickBooks; reconcile and close books monthly
- Generate financials monthly, quarterly, yearly
- Follow proper accounting practices
- Support Tax related activities and ensure tax laws are followed (with CPA guidance)
- Assist with Payroll processing through Altera, ensuring proper deductions and manage online 401k deposits
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Maintain accurate vendor accounts and communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, credits, renewals
- Reconcile and pay bills ensuring appropriate pricing and discounts are applied
- Maintain copies of customer contracts and invoices in the manner established by GF
- Maintaining documents filing system (electronic and paper
- Process customer account payments in QB Desktop
- Provide client reports as requested by attorneys, partners, executive director
- Maintain billing records for attorneys/timekeepers
- Process customer account payments in billing software (Timeslips)
- Assist with entering timekeeper (attorneys) time and clients expenses into Timelips
- Make edits to prebills and generate invoices in final form to mail/email to clients
- Submit bills electronically through various e-billing websites per client billing guidelines
- Maintain specific client billing requirements and ensure that requirements are met
- Ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate
- Communicate with customer when issues arise with payments or accounts are past due
