HYBRID | FULL-TIME
Boulo is recruiting for a Public Relations Account Executive to join the team of our client, a boutique PR firm in Atlanta, GA. The Public Relations Account Executive will manage public relations programs for clients ranging from startups to large corporations in the fintech and financial services industries. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to deepen your media relations skills with a supportive team that is dedicated to your growth.
The Public Relations Account Executive will act as the strategic lead with clients as well as manage reactive/proactive client interactions, collaborate with targeted publications and/or other influencers (media, analysts, etc.), create content on behalf of clients (press releases, social posts, feature articles, etc.), gain new management skills, and mentor younger associates.
Employment type: Full-time
Flexibility: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote during first year and then greater flexibility thereafter)
Pay: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
Requirements for the Public Relations Account Executive position
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, Communications, Journalism or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Proven communication skills: writing and content generation with the proven ability to articulate complex value propositions
- Experience creating and executing strategic media relations plans
- An ability to multitask, managing the work of multiple clients while meeting deadlines with quality
- Project management skills and adaptability to unexpected changes and opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- Command of Associated Press journalistic style
- Availability for work on a hybrid schedule at our Buckhead office (with some travel)
- An excellent attention to detail
Responsibilities of the Public Relations Account Executive position
- Understanding of agency clients and the industries they serve
- Pitching and hosting interviews between media and clients
- Writing news releases, case studies and feature articles with minimal edits, and distributing to media
- Preparing client activity reports and providing post-call reports
- Engaging with clients and media on a regular basis
- Offering big ideas that can potentially change way clients do business
- Working independently and collaborating within groups
- Mentoring associates
- Improving company culture and processes
