Our client is looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their rapidly growing team. The position will analyze and organize financial data, prepare reports and financials, and maintain internal controls procedures. The Senior Accountant will work directly with the CFO and Director of Finance on the day-to-day oversight of company finances and cashflow. This role is critical to the growth and success of our team and relies on excellent communication, proactive thinking, and precise execution of tasks.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheet, cash flow, and other monthly closing reports for distribution to management
- Monitor budgets to actuals
- Produce and analyze financial reports for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues
- Prepare weekly reports and dashboards for the CFO
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and documenting financial transactions
- Handle vendor invoices and other accounts payable functions
- Handle company invoices and other accounts receivable functions
- Calculate commissions on a monthly basis
- Assist with tax return preparation and filings
Requirements of the Senior Accountant:
- Five+ years’ experience in an Accounting role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks required
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Someone who is a self-starter, takes initiative, proactively addresses issues, can work with minimal oversight, and has high attention to detail
