Boulo is recruiting a Social Media Marketing Specialist for our client, a Birmingham-based fourth-generation family-owned foodservice company.  

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000

Responsibilities of the Social Media Marketing Specialist: 

  • Assist the Marketing Director with the implementation of our client’s vendor marketing program.
  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategy, coordinating with sales, purchasing, and IT departments to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Build and manage presence across the relevant social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute mail marketing strategy, coordinating with sales, purchasing, and IT departments to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Curate relevant content (images, video, and written) to reach customers across all social platforms and email. Build and maintain content calendar.
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to user traffic across the social platforms. Become an advocate in all social media spaces, engaging in dialogues with users and answering incoming questions and comments.
  • Assist with the management of website content.
  • Design and implement promotional campaigns utilizing social platforms and integrating with our existing marketing program and vendor community.
  • Monitor industry standard benchmarks and data points to measure the impact of social media and email campaigns.

Requirements of the Social Media Marketing Specialist: 

  • 3+ Years of full-time experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. A marketing or public relations degree is welcomed but not required.
  • Excellent copywriting and language skills are preferred.
  • Graphic design experience and video editing experience preferred.
  • Customer relations/customer service experience preferred.
