Boulo is recruiting for an experience Media Sales Executive for our client, an established multifaceted, modern and mobile media brand on a mission to create a better, healthier, and more connected Greater Birmingham and Alabama area. Our client publishes fun, exciting, and useful content for their audiences while supporting local businesses through effective digital advertising solutions.

Employment Type: Full-Time (Salary + Commission + Benefits)
Pay: Base Salary of $50-55,000 depending on experience, OTE $100,000+
Flexibility: Hybrid with in-office collaboration and client meetngs

Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Media Sales Executive to join their team. Based in Birmingham, the Media Sales Executive will play a critical role in growing their advertising business locally and across Alabama. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales professional with a passion for digital media, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to supporting the Birmingham community

Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through leads, cold calls, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct meetings to understand clients' needs and create customized advertising proposals using multiple platforms
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Present to potential clients and monitor campaign performance, providing insights for optimization.
  • Handle invoicing and ensure timely payments.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented attitude to motivate colleagues.
  • Collaborate with management and internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Tackle client and operational challenges with solutions-focused strategies.
  • Participate in team initiatives and support colleagues as needed.

Digital Media Expertise

  • Share past sales success and relevant metrics.
  • Analyze client needs and align them with our services and market trends.
  • Master our digital media products to create effective proposals.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of campaigns that meet client expectations.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field (min. 3.0 GPA).
  • 3-5 years of proven advertising sales experience, preferably in digital media.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Passionate about digital media, marketing, and communications.
