Our client, a respected nonprofit arts organization with a longstanding and beloved brand, is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Brand Engagement Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis. This hybrid position is ideal for a seasoned social media professional who thrives in collaborative environments, understands the nuances of brand voice, and is passionate about engaging diverse communities through compelling digital content.

Employment Type: Part-Time, 15 hours per week
Flexibility: Flexible Work Hours & 90% remote, with occasional in-person event attendance and weekly meetings
Pay: $20–$25/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, schedule, and maintain a two-week queue of pre-approved social media content across platforms
  • Grow audience engagement by creatively leveraging platform features and identifying new opportunities for reach
  • Research participants, performers, and partners to tag and incorporate relevant handles to amplify visibility
  • Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages with warmth, professionalism, and brand alignment
  • Ensure all content is grammatically accurate, brand-consistent, and approved prior to publishing
  • Collaborate with team members on evolving content strategy and support occasional content creation
  • Attend weekly in-person meetings and select live events as required (approx. 10% of total work time)
  • Navigate and respect union regulations when crafting and posting content

Key Experience:

  • Proven experience managing social media for established brands or nonprofits
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on grammar, clarity, and tone consistency
  • Familiarity with content scheduling tools and grammar-checking software
  • A proactive, research-driven approach to tagging and audience engagement
  • Ability to work independently while being a responsive and thoughtful team player
