Boulo Solutions is partnering with a plumbing distributor in Moody, AL looking to hire an E-commerce Account Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for all performance metrics associated with ecommerce accounts, excluding any Amazon sales. You will manage and optimize operations across various sales channels and methods. As the primary point of contact, you will address operational and purchasing issues that may impact sales, working closely with the account’s sales manager to drive growth and ensure smooth operations across all non-Amazon platforms.
Responsibilities
- Portal and Customer Functions: Oversee all activities related to e-commerce accounts, including managing customer policies and monitoring performance metrics. Ensure data integrity and compliance with platform guidelines. Proactively identify and report areas for optimization.
- Customer Performance Metrics: Ensure timely delivery of products with minimal incident rates. Master sales portals to generate reports and compare metrics on damage rates, late deliveries, and customer satisfaction. Address issues promptly, working with brands to optimize product listings for items with high return rates.
- Special Orders: Serve as the primary contact for quoting and managing special orders, using your expertise to increase job conversions and maintain high customer satisfaction. Explore opportunities to expand this market.
- Management: You will be responsible for decisions made by the customer experience team, quality assurance, and returns. Ensure that these departments adhere to customer service standards through communication and policy enforcement. This includes drafting templated responses for these departments to use and resolving customer-centric issues.
- Reporting: Maintain thorough communication with the account manager and participate in weekly meetings with the e-commerce sales manager and relevant stakeholders to report progress and develop action plans for assigned tasks.
- Integration: Ensure IT is involved in any process changes to maintain system alignment and efficiency.
- Cross-Platform Familiarity: While your primary focus is on non-Amazon platforms, you will also need to be familiar with similar tasks for Amazon accounts to back up and fill in for your counterpart as needed.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in e-commerce logistics. – Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Excel functions such as XLOOKUP and SQL queries is required, along with the ability to master reporting and metrics for Amazon’s Vendor Central, Seller Central
- Growth Mindset: Read Carol D. Dweck’s book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success and apply its principles to the position and department’s culture.

- Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

This includes reading and comprehending instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as writing clear and concise correspondence. Strong verbal communication skills are necessary for effectively presenting information in one-onone and small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Math Ability Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Competence in applying concepts of margin dollars and percentages, ratios, and comparative reporting.
- Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to solve complex problems involving concrete and adaptive variables in standardized situations. Capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with the ability to cross-reference large datasets and running SQL queries. Advanced knowledge in all customer platform functionality, Prophet 21 (P21), and Rubber Tree.
- Supervisory Skills Ability to coordinate effectively with team members and cross-departmental personnel to achieve results, particularly in managing the complexities of Amazon’s fulfillment methods.
