Boulo Solutions is partnering with a growing lighting design and manufacturing company based in Foley, AL, known for our innovation, quality craftsmanship, and customer-focused approach. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a skilled Controller to join our leadership team and take ownership of the company’s financial management and reporting functions.

Position Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance for the organization. This leadership role will work closely with the executive team to ensure the financial health of the company and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department including AR, AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed

  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies

  • Support inventory and cost accounting processes

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership

  • Oversee and mentor accounting staff

Requirements:

  • Active CPA license (Certified Public Accountant) – Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role

  • Experience in manufacturing or product-based business is highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Must reside within a commutable distance to Foley, AL
