Litigation Paralegal
Location: Birmingham, AL (Vestavia area)
Position Type: Full-Time with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K with match and PTO
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Prior experience in workers’ compensation litigation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case preparation and management.
- Handle electronic filing, document management, and maintain accurate case files.
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and court dates to ensure timely filings and compliance.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports as needed.
- Maintain client relations and adhere to specific client guidelines and processes.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for document creation and case tracking.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in workers’ compensation matters.
- Strong understanding of court procedures and electronic filing systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-sufficient and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
