A rapidly growing business in the Birmingham area that is expanding into multiple states is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. 

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000 – $52,000

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support the accounting team by managing data, processing billing, and assisting with financial processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently handle multiple tasks, contribute to process improvements, and support the team in achieving business objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and record invoices, ensuring timely and accurate data entry for financial transactions.
  • Work with the accounting team to communicate invoice and payment status.
  • Manage shared email folders with payment remittances and customer requests. 
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly state and local gasoline taxes.
  • Support accounting tasks, including data entry of financial transactions and record-keeping.
  • Help standardize office processes, including billing, documentation, and transaction procedures.
  • Document and refine procedures for internal use and training. 
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for efficient data management and reporting.
  • Explore and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
