Boulo Solutions is partnering with a Birmingham, AL based company that is a trusted source of coconut looking to hire a Director, Food Service and Distribution Sales to join their growing team. If you have established relationships in the food service distribution arena and/or retailers and enjoy selling high quality ingredients, this could be a great opportunity for you. 

Salary: $130-150k based on experience (plus bonus)
Hours: Normal office hours, but some travel is expected a few days a month to visit customers or attend a trade show. Also travel for 2 days a month to the Birmingham home office is expected for team meetings.
Benefits: 75% paid Health coverage, 401k 10% of salary company contributed after one year, 10 days PTO after one year (prorated), 5 days sick,  and 11 paid holidays plus other benefits. 

This position will accelerate growth across our existing portfolio of customers (75%) as well as identify and develop new business opportunities (25%) within the Food Service distribution channels as well as Food and Beverage and institutional customers.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion to develop emerging channels and customers, assimilate acquisitions and create scalable process improvements as part of an entrepreneurial sales leadership team.

You should be prepared to develop plans, pricing, and product needs with internal and external customers. This position will have national coverage within the Food Service channel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential responsibilities of this job include but are not limited to the following:

· Develop an annual plan to attain corporate revenue and volume goals. Report results vs plan to leadership, provide guidance for improvement, and actively work with customers to generate growth.

· Leverage products and capabilities with company's current customer base including pricing development and approval, reporting sales results, maintaining accurate forecasts, and identifying new business opportunities.

· Develop a robust sales pipeline and plan to convert by leveraging company's extensive range of products, application/end use knowledge, and comprehensive capabilities. Your ability to effectively present to customers’ R&D, QA, and Procurement personnel is vital to building relationships and strategic partnerships.

· Develop plans and a budget to exhibit or attend regional and national trade shows where we will showcase products and capabilities to prospective customers and meet with existing customers.

· Manage regional brokers and distributors to grow sales with new and existing customers.

· Develop trade plan for the Food Service distributor network and leverage your network of contacts within Restaurant groups and institutional customers.

· Work directly with Marketing and R&D to develop a suite of selling collateral showcasing our competitive advantages, range of products, and full-service capabilities.

· Collaborate with cross functional members of the team to drive success for both company and customers.

· Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure sample requests are fulfilled and provide support as needed for order management.

· As we pursue additional product lines and acquisitions, this role will be instrumental in creating plans to scale up the businesses as well as identify a Food Service Sales department capable of generating profit and revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Experience/Education

· Bachelor’s Degree Required

· 5+ years of Food Service Sales Leadership Experience

· Experience working in an ERP/CRM system. Netsuite preferred.

· Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint and Excel a must) 

· Experience developing and executing Ingredient and Food Service channel development strategies.

· Company or product range acquisition integration.

B. Skills

· Ability to generate and convert sales leads as well as maximize current customer relationships using superior presentation skills.

· Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

· Proven ability to develop costing and pricing recommendations that convert to revenue and profit growth.

· Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on management of a diverse customer base.

· Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
