Boulo is recruiting a Fundraising Specialist for our client, a non-profit focused on inclusive economic growth in Birmingham and Jefferson County. 

Flexibility: Possible hybrid options after training period
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,000
Benefits: Health insurance, long-term disability, retirement plan, paid vacation and sick leave

Responsibilities: 

  • Research and identify grants, donors, and that Prosper should prioritize
  • Write all Prosper grants including identifying and communicating with partners and managing whatever process is necessary to submit excellent, collaborative grants by deadline
  • Create and maintain database and systems for monitoring grants including deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Work with President and Board of Directors to ensure Prosper is updating, acknowledging, and thanking donors
  • Work with Communications and Community Engagement Director to ensure Prosper is acknowledging donors properly
  • Work with Initiatives Director to secure data and information necessary to write excellent grants and ensure Prosper donors are informed
  • Work with Strategic Partnerships Director to manage grants and data related to national partnerships
  • Prepare reports on fundraising progress for President, Board, Prosper staff, and other relevant groups
  • Build and maintain relationships with people and organizations in the philanthropic, business, civic, and non-profit community
  • Attend in-person and virtual events in the community when appropriate
  • Maintain any and all necessary records for grant purposes
