Boulo is recruiting a Financial Internal Auditor for our client, a rapidly growing non-profit ministry that develops disciples and churches in multiple countries.

The Financial Internal Auditor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's financial integrity, compliance with regulations, and adherence to internal policies and procedures. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the ministry's mission by safeguarding its resources and promoting accountability and transparency.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support Controller in conducting monthly comprehensive audits of financial records, transactions, and processes to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Support the Controller to identify and assess potential risks related to financial operations, governance, and internal controls, proposing measures to mitigate risks and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support and Assist in the implementation of the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and prevent fraud or misuse of funds.
  • Report and document findings, observations, and recommendations, and present findings to the Controller and CFO.
  • Work in collaboration with relevant department heads to document and streamline processes, monitor controls, and implement best business practices.
  • While carrying auditing responsibilities provide on as needed basis, continuous training and guidance to staff on financial policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and adherence to standards.

Qualifications: 

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills a MUST.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is a requirement. Previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Experience in the usage of computers required and advanced knowledge of web-based systems preferred.
  • Passion for religious ministry.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and trust.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task, using good time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills and excellent phone manners. Accountable for supporting, upholding and engaging the ministry's Vision, Values, and Mission in all internal and external communication and relationships.
  • Administrative writing, reporting & tracking skills. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and Word processing.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with various levels within the organization worldwide including Senior Management and Team Leaders.
  • Possesses a helpful, diplomatic, and caring attitude to all; must be hospitable and have good people skills
  • Each team member is expected to maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as a top priority; be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of organization; and faithfully uphold the ministry in prayer.
