Boulo is recruiting for a Low Voltage Installer in the Dallas area to join our client, a building security specialist who sells, procures and installs security solutions nationwide. Candidates should have experience in camera, security, and access control installations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility: On-site at installations 
Pay: $30+ per hour 

Responsibilities:

  • Install physical security systems, including cameras, access control, and related equipment.
  • Manage and organize cable installations to industry standards.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot networking and security equipment.
  • Complete site walks and assessments according to company standards, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to project turnaround times and benchmarks.
  • Travel frequently within the region, with some longer-distance assignments and occasional overnight stays.
  • Maintain professionalism and comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in low voltage installations, specifically for commercial security systems.
  • Knowledge of cabling, networking fundamentals, and security equipment installation.
  • Ability to pass a Checkr background check.
  • Strong time management skills and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel regionally with some overnight stays and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Electrician Certification (preferred for enhanced versatility in installations).
  • Experience with fiber and structured cabling, access control and alarm installations.
  • Familiarity with Verkada or similar security equipment.
  • Relevant state certifications.
  • Knowledge of computer vision technology trends.
  • Ability to bring additional qualified team members preferred.
  • Experience leading projects or coordinating on-site teams.
