Boulo Solutions is partnering with a distribution company based in Moody, AL looking to hire a Freight Analyst to join their team. The Freight Analyst is responsible for supporting the company by analyzing shipping costs for all outbound and inbound freight for the company. This includes parcel, LTL and truckload shipments.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
• Create and negotiate carrier agreements while managing the relationship with the carriers and our customers.
• Respond to incoming calls, faxes and emails from carriers and account representatives in regard to company invoices.
• Uses problem solving skills to review all outstanding invoices from AP and develop resolutions for disputes.
• Represents company Vision, Mission, and Values at all times.
• Maintains good working relationships with all departments and areas to promote and support company objectives.
• Produce ad hoc reports from database tools as required.
• Develop, format, and publish weekly and/or monthly Key Performance Indicators.
• Identify areas of opportunity to cut costs without jeopardizing service.
• Create carrier performance report cards.
• Assist and contribute to continuous development of predictive freight metrics.
• Own a comprehensive knowledge of TDP’s supply chain software management systems.
• Assists other areas/departments as needed.
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to automated data exchange connectivity between vendors and WMS, TMS and/or ERP systems (Prophet 21 experience a plus).
• Proficient with and/or working knowledge of various software offerings (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, carrier portals)Power BI/Power Query, etc and ERP systems such as Prophet 21.
• Freight and claims knowledge.

• Data entry / data analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams from different areas, drive accountability in daily activities.
